It's Veterans Day , and in a nation where it seems that every other car displays a magnetic ribbon urging that we “Support Our Troops”many Americans may not realize how many truckers are veterans.

The OOIDA Foundation – which is the research arm of OOIDA – reports that 43-percent of Association members are veterans.

We don't know if we still have any World War II vets out on the road, or how many served during the Korean conflict, but we know we have many members who served in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and other campaigns.

And today, Friday, Nov. 11, we salute not just our members – but all veterans who served during war or peacetime.

To those men and women, we say thank you and welcome home.
