Another city foreman has been sentenced to prison time for his involvement in Chicago’s scandal-ridden Hired Truck program.
Patrick Stillo, a former foreman for the Chicago Department of Transportation, was sentenced Tuesday, Nov. 8, to one year in prison. Stillo pleaded guilty to counts of mail fraud and bribery in August, The Associated Press reported.
The former city employee was found guilty of collecting roughly $15,000 in bribes for the use of city asphalt for private projects, according to The AP.
Stillo is the 18th person to be sentenced in the ongoing federal investigation into Hired Truck, in which some city employees took bribes and political contributions from trucking companies in exchange for work with the city.
