Diesel prices fell again Wednesday, Nov. 9, across the country, though they are still not down to pre-Katrina levels.
ProMiles reported a national average of $2.693 per gallon, down 1.9 cents from the previous day.

Those prices should continue to drop heading into 2006, according to projections from the U.S. Department of Energy.
The DOE said average prices should reach a low of $2.49 per gallon by the third quarter of 2006. By the fourth quarter, however, they are expected to bounce back up to $2.68 per gallon.
