A quick-thinking trucker helped police capture two men who are accused of firing several shots at the trucker as he rolled along Interstate 64 in Ohio.
According to the Belleville (OH) News-Democrat, the trucker, who was not identified by authorities, was driving his rig in a construction zone on May 25 when a passenger vehicle drove into the barricaded portion of the zone and then pulled in front of his truck.
The driver and passenger of the car, Vincent Allen and Ibae Motely, then proceeded to fire several shots at the truck. The trucker was not injured and he managed to get the license number of the car, which helped the police track down the vehicle and arrest the two men.
The men are being charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and are being held on $50,000 bail.
