Although Justin Harris has been missing for more than a year, his father has not given up hope that the teenage boy will be found alive and well.
Phillip Harris, an OOIDA member from Fort Towson, OK, has tapped into several national missing children networks and wants to enlist the help of truckers across the country to help him find Justin, who went missing from a youth home in Casper, WY, in February 2004. There is a chance that the boy may have been headed toward Oklahoma.
The boy was 13 when staff at the R.L. Mills Home discovered he was not in his bed on Feb. 15, 2004. He will turn 15 on Aug. 20 this year. He is described as having blond hair and green eyes and was about 5 feet tall and weighed about 110 pounds when he was last seen.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has classified Justin as an “endangered” missing person because he was taking prescribed medication at the time he went missing and would have been in need of continued doses.
Staff from the children’s home told the Casper Star-Tribune last year that Justin is emotionally delayed and acts like a 6- or 7-year-old child.
