Plenty of truckers complain about how four-wheelers drive. But this month, 350 of your fellow truck drivers took it a step further, telling the magazine Men’s Health the biggest problems they have with “civilian drivers,” and offering those drivers some advice.
The information was part of an article in the April 2005 issue titled “Crush Hour,” which discussed various aspects of auto accidents and how they affect men’s health. It noted that “car accidents are the fourth leading cause of death among men.”
In that article it published the results of a survey of drivers accomplished with the help of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association.
Calling truckers the “schoolmarms of the street,” it offered a few choice statistics and advice from truck drivers to four-wheelers:
