Western Maryland Truck Show set for Aug. 26-28

Start planning your route now so you will be in the right place at the right time when the seventh annual Western Maryland Truck Show hits the Allegany County Fairgrounds in August.

The three-day event in Cumberland, MD, is open to all kinds of trucks, from pickups to semis. Events for the big trucks include a competition truck show and a light show. There is free truck parking for those attending the show.

There show is billed as a family-friendly event and also includes a hog roast on Friday, Aug. 26, a truckers’ appreciation dinner on Saturday, Aug. 27, and a concert by country music singer/songwriter David Lee Murphy. There will also be a children’s game room on site.

To reach the fairgrounds, take Interstate 68 to Cumberland. At Exit 42 you will connect with U.S. 220 South. There will be signs posted to direct you to the fairgrounds on Moss Avenue.
