Obnoxious CB radio chatter is nothing new, but when a group of truckers in Illinois heard the words “bomb,” “explosive,” “Washington, DC” and “president,” they knew they had to take action.

After receiving a tip from the drivers, officers from the Princeton, IL, Police Department arrested Terry Daniel, 44, of Cedar Rapids, IA, at a service station off Interstate 80, Reuters reported. Daniel was traveling eastbound in a van on the interstate, and Police Chief Tom Root told The Associated Press that maps, documents and other items in the van led them to believe he did intend to travel to the nation’s capital.

Police originally suspected Daniel had drug-making equipment or explosives in the van, but a search found only suitcases, ice coolers and briefcases. The FBI and Secret Service were also called in to investigate, and a nearby fast food restaurant was evacuated as a precaution.

According to The AP, Daniel was taken into custody on a charge of felony disorderly conduct. When questioned, Root said, Daniel told officers that he “had some issues he wanted to take care of in Washington.”
