Illegal alien workers busted at U.S. Air Force base

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency has arrested 48 illegal immigrants working for a contractor at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, NC.

According to an ICE news release, the workers, who made up a majority of the workforce employed by contractor Parson Evergreen Corp., provided counterfeit identity documents in order to gain employment with the company.

Amazingly enough, the ICE news release said the contractor itself was not under investigation at this time, but did not elaborate.

The illegal aliens have been charged with administrative violations of immigration law and will be deported to their home countries of Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and the Ukraine.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of North Carolina is prosecuting the case.
