A former driver for the Covitta Inc. trucking company has been sentenced to 10 weeks in jail, after which he will be deported, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The driver, Francisco Palacios – also known as Fredy Molina – was arrested following an overweight vehicle citation in Virginia in April. Palacios presented the officer with a fake New Jersey commercial driver’s license that had his alias on it, with Palacios’ picture.

On Aug. 15, Palacios pleaded guilty to the charges and received his sentence. Covitta Inc. is based in Lorton, VA.
