Local news media are reporting that the driver of a white Pontiac Sunbird is to blame in a crash on Montana Highway 200 that sent both the Pontiac driver and the driver of an 18-wheeler to the hospital.
The Sunbird attempted to pass the semi as the truck was making a left turn off of the highway, according to the Sidney Herald. Unable to stop in time, the car slammed into the truck, spun around in a circle, and came to rest beside the highway.
The semi, which was carrying salt water, hit a ditch beside the road and rolled onto its side.
The names and conditions of the drivers were not released.
