A truck driver has been sentenced to three years’ probation for his involvement in Chicago’s ongoing Hired Truck investigation.
The trucker, Timothy Shrader, gave a foreman with the city’s Department of Transportation a bribe of $3,000 to $5,000 to falsify work reports that incorrectly showed he was working. Shrader received a reduced sentence for cooperating with federal investigators, the Chicago Tribune reported.
According to the Tribune, Shrader’s cooperation led to the indictment of Dennis Natale, a former foreman in the bribes-for-work program.
Shrader is the 23rd individual to be sentenced in the investigation. Charges still remain against seven more people.
