Overnite’s stockholders have approved a merger with UPS. It’s a $1.25 billion deal – the biggest in UPS’s history.

The deal will combine the world’s largest package delivery company, UPS, with the fifth largest less-than-truckload freight carrier.

UPS officials say Overnite will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary.
