IdleAire hires firm to help it add 200,000 spaces nationwide
IdleAire is working on a project that it says will lead to equipping 200,000 more truck parking spaces nationwide with the company’s idle-alternative system.
The expansion, which will be managed by IdleAire and its partner Parsons Brinckerhoff, was announced recently at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas. Parsons Brinckerhoff is a planning, engineering, construction and program management consulting firm.
The agreement will allow IdleAire to outsource the construction of new spaces in truck stops and concentrate on operating its system. The company opened its 22nd location this month.
