Idaho sets up state trucking Web site

The state of Idaho has set up a new Web site – trucking.Idaho.gov – designed to enable truckers to take care of their business with the state and other matters around the clock.

The Idaho Transportation Department, the Idaho State Tax Commission, and the Idaho State Police teamed with Access Idaho, the state's official Web site, to develop the new site.

The site offers:

  • Temporary trip permits;
  • Paperless hazardous materials endorsements;
  • International Fuel Tax Agreement filing and payments;
  • Overlegal permits;
  • Full fee license renewals;
  • Commercial driver's license record searches;
  • Road and weather reports;
  • Maps;
  • Food and rest stop information;
  • Idaho rules and regulations; and
  • Safety issues.

The new Web site also links to transportation-related sites operated by other states and the federal government.
