Truck drivers who like peering down to see what’s happening inside the four-wheelers may be in for a little surprise.
Everyone’s seen – either in a car or in a TV ad – the little DVD-TV screens that come in mini-vans. But now, according to press reports, those miniature TVs are featuring a new kind of fare – porn.
That’s right, porn, as in adult films. The DVD players, advertised by car companies as a way to occupy the kids on long trips, are being used by an increasing number of car and van owners to entertain themselves with a more adult form of filmmaking.
Already, a number of cities and states are taking action to shut the skin flicks down.
In New York, one driver was ticketed under a law that prohibits showing adult films in public, The Associated Press reported. And the city of Flint, MI, is considering an ordinance that would include a $500 fine.
And in Louisiana, the home of Mardi Gras, The New Orleans Times Picayune reported that Rep. Mickey Guillory, D-Eunice, has introduced a bill targeting the practice. The measure, HB640, would ban the adult films if they can be seen within 1,000 feet of the vehicle.
