Minnesota’s Department of Transportation is preparing for its annual anti-pothole effort.
The department spends about $8 million annually on statewide pothole repair, using high-tech methods like an automated pothole patching machine, or the old-fashioned three guys and a shovel.
The state is also using a new high-tech asphalt that is designed to resist damage caused by the freeze/thaw cycle
To report potholes on state highways, send e-mail to Mn/DOT at info@dot.state.mn.us or call the department at (651) 296-3000.
