The national average U.S. retail price of diesel fuel held to last week’s mark of $1.700, the Department of Energy reported June 28.
Once again, the highest prices in the nation were in California, where the average cost is $2.034 – the only region in the country to remain above the $2 mark.
Among the higher prices were New England, at $1.804; $1.815 in the Rocky Mountain region; the Central Atlantic region, at $1.776; and on the West Coast, where the average price is $1.969.
Other prices include the Lower Atlantic region, where the average price is $1.639; the Midwest, at $1.650; the Gulf Coast, at $1.624; and the East Coast, at $1.688.
