A subsidiary of Martin Marietta Materials Inc., headquartered in Raleigh, NC, has introduced a brand new trailer.

The 48-foot, live-floor transfer trailer is the first composite trailer of its type manufactured in North America. It is constructed of virtually all glass-fiber-reinforced polymer materials, with the exception of the king pin, the landing gear, axles, wheels and brake components and miscellaneous fasteners.

Martin Marietta Materials is the nation’s second largest producer of construction aggregates and a producer of magnesia-based chemicals used in a wide variety of industries.
