Bozo hospitalized

Radio talk show host Dale Sommers, The Truckin’ Bozo, remains hospitalized in Cincinnati after a serious bout this week with a chronic health disorder. Sommers hosts The Truckin' Bozo Radio Network, a popular late night trucker show.

Friends and family report he is recovering. He spoke to friend Todd Spencer of OOIDA yesterday from Mercy Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati. Spencer said Sommers was feeling better and "sounded good."

According to Network sources, the show’s co-host, Steve Sommers says The Bozo will likely take a few weeks “off the air” to fully recover.

The Truckin’ Bozo Radio Network emanates from flagship station 700 WLW-AM, a 50-kilowatt Clear Channel station in Cincinnati. The show is broadcast live from midnight to 5 a.m. EST seven nights a week nationwide on its 12-station network. In addition, the show is carried nationally by XM Satellite Radio. When the live show goes off at 5 a.m., XM re-broadcasts the first two hours from 5 to 7 a.m. seven days a week. Then the first four hours are also broadcast from 4 to 8 p.m. EST.
