The average U.S. retail price of diesel fuel decreased to $1.568 from the previous average of $1.581, the Department of Energy reported.
The highest prices were in California at $1.810; New England at $1.773, the Central Atlantic region at $1.728; and on the West Coast, where prices average $1.741.
The dollar-fifty range greeted the Lower Atlantic region, where the average price is $1.521; the Midwest at $1.525; the Gulf Coast at $1.515; $1.595 on the East Coast; and in the Rocky Mountain region, where the price is $1.541.
