The average U.S. retail price of diesel fuel decreased to $1.581 from the previous average of $1.591, the Department of Energy reported.
The highest prices were in New England at $1.786 and in the Central Atlantic region at $1.741.
The dollar-sixty mark continued in three areas: California at $1.696; the West Coast at $1.653; and on the East Coast at $1.622.
The dollar-fifty range greeted the Lower Atlantic region at $1.557; the Midwest at $1.551; the Gulf Coast at $1.546; and in the Rocky Mountain region at $1.550.
