Natso news: Fay away; Mullings named acting chief

William Fay stepped down April 1 as president and CEO of Natso, the trade organization representing the truck stop and travel plaza industry.

Lisa Mullings, who has worked at Natso since January 1995, has been named the association’s acting president and CEO.

The association said, “Natso’s executive committee and William Fay, who served as president and CEO since January 2003, have mutually agreed to sever their relationship. We thank Bill for his important contributions during the past year and wish him well as he pursues other endeavors.”

Mullings has most recently served as vice president of public affairs and counsel.

“We are confident in Lisa and the entire Natso staff’s ability to serve your members’ interests well in the coming months,” the association said.

Fay had been president of American Highway Users Alliance, a non-profit highway advocacy organization, for eight years before taking the Natso position. He was a Washington, DC, trade association executive and Senate staff member for 20 years, according to Natso biographical information.
