Sometimes, rush hour just plain stinks

Bad: A truck jackknifes on a highway, spilling some of its cargo and backing up traffic for miles.

Worse: The truck's cargo is portable toilets.

It happened on Interstate 5 north of Seattle as the evening rush hour was about to begin Sept. 24, The Associated Press reported. Only one of the toilets fell off the northbound truck, but most were tipped at a 45-degree angle.

The upside: the toilets were empty except for sewage-treatment chemicals.
