The Ohio Department of Transportation has requested $155 million from the state to pay for a portion of seven projects, The Cincinnati Enquirer reported recently.
The projects include widening I-75 to eight lanes in Butler and Warren counties; rebuilding the I-75/I-74 interchange in Cincinnati; and reconfiguring the approaches to the Brent Spence Bridge over the Ohio River.
All the projects are related to safety and congestion problems along I-75. Work would not begin until 2007, the newspaper reported, and the total cost of the projects may exceed $644 million.
