$15 million headed to Minnesota's rural areas for bridge work

Minnesota recently released $15 million of state money to pay for repairs to rural bridges, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported recently.

The distribution of the money had been put on hold by former Gov. Jesse Ventura, but was released by his successor, Gov. Tim Pawlenty. It will be added to $400 million that the state recently borrowed to pay for major highway projects. That money was approved by the 2003 Legislature, the newspaper reported.
