Maine residents to vote on transportation spending

Voters in Maine will decide this November whether to spend more on transportation in the state, The Kennebec Journal reported Aug. 28.

A $63.4 million ballot question on transportation borrowing and spending will join five other measures on the ballot in the fall vote. The newspaper said the question, which will be listed last on the ballot, would floats bonds to pay for work on highways, bridges, airports, ferrys, rail transportation and LifeFlight.
