Oklahoma awards road contracts

Oklahoma recently took a big step toward upgrading its road network when the state’s Transportation Commission awarded $41.9 million in contracts for highway improvements, The Shawnee News Star reported.

The work, which includes 24 projects stretched over 19 of the state’s counties, includes resurfacing, reconstruction and safety work on existing highways, as well as construction of new bridges and roads.
