The National Motor Carrier Directory is now available online, as well as a CD-ROM and its traditional print edition.
The 1,702-page directory includes complete demographics on 22,000 U.S. trucking companies. The new 2004 edition reflects firms with 1.2 million trucks and tractors, 2.1 million trailers, plus $192 billion in revenue. More than 2,800 companies are new to the edition.
Each directory profile offers the name of the company’s CEO, headquarters address, motor carrier and DOT number, standard carrier alpha code, revenue, specific number of trucks, tractors and trailers owned or leased, as well as commodities transported. Ten trailer types are identified. The guide also identifies whether the firm is a TL or LTL carrier, the year the firm was established, plus common, contract and broker operations.
Twelve-month Internet access, which updates every 72 hours, plus the 1,703 page print copy are under $400. Shipping and handling charges are also applied. All or any part of the National Motor Carrier Directory file is available on CD-ROM for an additional cost. Firms that purchase the entire database may also download information from the Internet for 12 months.
