The United States and Mexico agreed Nov. 12 to set up a homeland security hotline, Reuters news service reported.

The hotline is between Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge and Mexico's Interior Minister Santiago Creel Miranda, the article said.

Secretary of State Colin Powell and Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Ernesto Derbez announced the hotline as officials from both countries discussed a new labor migration deal.
