Trucker dies in accident near Kentucky mine

Truckdriver William Hollins of Viper, KY, was killed the night of Monday, March 17, when his rig backed up, apparently out of control, near a strip mine in Perry County, KY, WLKY television in Louisville, KY, reported March 19.

Hollins, 48, apparently leaped out of his cab as the tractor-trailer began to roll backward. Law-enforcement officials told the station that the truck may have run over him or hit him as it rolled. His body was found later on the road, which is near the West Lick Mine. Hollins was a coal truck operator.
