The Holland Tunnel is now open again to small two- and three-axel straight trucks, the New York City Department of Transportation announced recently.

However, the tunnel is still restricted to trucks less than 8 feet wide. And the trucks are allowed only on the westbound portion of the tunnel, which carries traffic into New Jersey.

All other trucks, including tractor-trailers, will remain prohibited from the Holland Tunnel in both directions.
