Very soon, truckers delivering in New York City won’t have to make it to the nearest truckstop to relieve themselves. But the privilege may cost them a quarter.
The New York Times reported recently that the city has finished a deal to put 20 paid public toilets along sidewalks. The perma-potties would be part of a complete package of new street structures, including newsstands.
Details of the plan are still being worked out, and no estimate completion date has yet been set.
