According to figures released by the Department of Energy's Energy Information Administration April 28, the national average diesel price fell last week to $1.508 per gallon from the previous average of $1.529.

The highest rates are in the Central Atlantic region, where the average price is $1.661; in New England, where the price is $1.662; and in California, where the price is $1.601

The remaining regions' prices per gallon are as follows: on the West Coast, $1.560; $1.565 on the East Coast; $1.488 in the Midwest; $1.516 in the Lower Atlantic states; $1.419 on the Gulf Coast; and $1.538 in the Rocky Mountain region.
