OOIDA has joined a new nationwide program designed to teach motorists and truckdrivers how to drive safely around each other. The association recently agreed to serve on the steering committee.

The "Share the Road Safely Coalition," organized by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, consists of federal, state and local governments, private motor carriers, insurance companies, law enforcement agencies and highway safety organizations that are working together to improve driver behavior.
