Investment bank Goldman Sachs has upped its investment rating on motor carriers Roadway Express and Arkansas Best to "market outperform" from "trading buy," saying the stocks had met price targets.

The change follows a spike in both companies' share prices after the Sept. 3 bankruptcy of Consolidated Freightways Inc. Roadway stock rose about 22 percent and Arkansas Best has gained 34 percent since CF's announcement.
