OTA selling Truck World trade show

At their meeting Nov. 13 during the 76th annual Ontario Trucking Association convention, the OTA executive committee and board of directors gave approval in principle to an offer from the NCG Group to purchase the Truck World trade show.

The transaction is expected to close within 45 days. Terms of the agreement are not being made public at this time.

OTA says the proposed agreement will provide the organization with a guaranteed revenue stream that will assist the association in its primary mandate of lobbying on behalf of the trucking industry. At the same time, the sale to NCG ensures the trade show stays within the industry and has the opportunity to grow. The parties will make no further comment until after closing.

NCG produces a number of business-to-business publications serving the trucking, automotive and construction markets in Canada. Its trucking titles include Today's Trucking, Truck & Trailer, HighwayStar and Transport Routier.
