The newly released Trucker Buddy coloring book shows kids how a Kenworth W900 is built at the factory. Team drivers Bob and Ann are imaginary characters who select their new tractor at a dealership and then watch the parts being assembled at the manufacturing facility.
Youngsters will be able to see illustrations in the coloring book of the inside of the Kenworth factory, which shows an assembly line from start to finish. The book also features an ArvinMeritor automated transmission and a Caterpillar engine, both in the process of being installed. The new rig is then equipped with a set of 10 Bridgestone tires. Finally, the drivers stop at Bordentown, NJ, Petro Stopping center to fill their tanks with diesel.
Trucker Buddy is a program that matches professional drivers with elementary school classrooms. Each week, drivers send postcards, letters or e-mails as they share their experiences from the road with their students. The drivers then receive correspondence from the children, who are eager to learn about their jobs, their trucks and their travels.
