The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance's unannounced inspection detail focusing on commercial vehicle braking systems is only days away. CVSA has said the 12-hour Level IV inspection detail, dubbed Operation Air Brake, will occur sometime in May. For the past two years, the inspection detail has placed about 1,900 and 2,000 commercial vehicles out-of-service for brake violations, respectively.
