ArvinMeritor, global supplier of integrated systems and components to the motor vehicle industry, has announced a new name. The company's Exhaust Systems business's new name is Air and Emissions Technologies Group.

The company serves light vehicle, commercial truck, trailer and specialty original equipment manufacturers and related aftermarkets. The company is headquartered in Troy, MI, and employs 33,000 people at more than 150 manufacturing facilities in 27 countries.

ArvinMeritor Inc. was created by the merger of Meritor Automotive Inc. and Arvin Industries Inc. on July 7, 2000. In 1997, Meritor was created as an independent publicly traded entity through a spinoff of Rockwell International's automotive business.
