Navistar International strike ends with contract approval

About 645 striking workers of the Canadian Auto Workers union, local 127, voted Monday to approve a new contract with truck manufacturer Navistar International Corp. The agreement ended a six-week strike at a heavy duty truck plant in Chatham, Ontario. Terms of the two-year agreement weren't disclosed.

Workers walked out June 1 after Navistar and the CAW failed to agree on $14 million in wage concessions and other cuts at the Chatham plant.
