Missouri plans to install PrePass sensor systems at truck scales throughout the state by year's end. Negotiations between the state and PrePass are expected to wrap up by April. Some of the 19 locations in the state also will have scales installed on highway lanes, enabling them to weigh trucks as they pass.

It is unclear what Missouri will have to spend on maintenance and other costs associated with the system.
