For those truckers who carry loads to New York City - especially those who like to have a smoke while they catch dinner - it's time to get those last puffs in.
The New York Times reported Dec. 19 that the City Council gave its approval this week to an anti-smoking law. The bill, which bans smoking indoors, including bars, restaurants and buildings, is likely to go into effect in March.
However, if your favorite after-unloading puff is a cigar instead of a cigarette, take heart - the bill exempts a number of locations, including some cigar bars.
