Gov. Mark Warner signed off on legislation April 6 allowing tolls on trucks using Interstate 81 to help pay for widening plans, but truckers still can make sure their voice is heard.
While the governor's signature gave legislative approval to consider options for the 325-mile stretch of road from Winchester to Bristol, the Commonwealth Transportation Board first must approve the project.
A spokesperson with the CTB said anyone wishing to voice concerns or speak at an upcoming board meeting about the proposal should write or call a board member. Listed below are the CTB members with contact information:
