Even if you can't be home with Mom on Mother's Day, you could still make this day special for some mother's child by participating in the Make-A-Wish Foundation Mother's Day Convoy in Lancaster County, PA.

For 13 years, 300-400 trucks have gathered from all over the country to fulfill the dreams of kids who get to ride in a big rig, toot the horn and wave at friends. Besides giving kids the ride of their lives, the event raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation through sponsors. Each driver collects pledges and sponsors, who make contributions.

The day begins with an auction at 8:30 a.m. and continues with live bands, stage acts and other entertainment. Shortly after lunch, the convoy departs from Lancaster, winding its way through the county.
