The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has established a web site dedicated to the Fort Pitt Bridge and Tunnel Rehabilitation Project. From April 6 to August, the outbound bridge will be completely closed. Major delays each day are expected.

PennDOT advises the narrow outbound lanes of the West End Bridge will be difficult for tractor-trailer traffic attempting to maneuver the "S curve" to link up with Interstate 279.
