New web site in place to ease northern border crossings

Truckers and other cross-border travelers now can look to the Internet for help in avoiding congestion at borders crossings between the United States and Canada. The Ontario government announced the updated web site on Sept. 15.

Last week provincial government officials met with trucking and auto industry representatives to address the bottlenecks at many U.S./Canadian border crossings. The result of the meeting will be more changeable message signs in southern Ontario in advance of the crossings and additional customer service representatives on its traffic hotline. The web site address is www.solicitorgeneral.msg.gov.on.ca.
