Missouri lawmaker laces 'em up for highways

A Show-Me State lawmaker is putting on his walking shoes to bring attention to funding needs for the state's highways. The temps in Missouri have been in the high 90s and triple digits all week with heat indices lingering near 110 degrees, but it won't stop Rep. Rod Jetton, of Marbel Hill.

Rep. Jetton is scheduled to set out today on a 225-mile journey from his home district of southeast Missouri to the state capitol building in Jefferson City. Jetton will deliver a petition calling for reorganization of the Highway Commission urging the commission to finish projects on various roads.
