OOIDA member Bryan Staley is searching for his missing truck, a sky blue 1990 Freightliner FLD. The truck is hard to miss with his company's yellow lightning bolt blazing across the door, along with his company name Tropic Lightning Transport.

The truck was last seen July 11 in East St. Louis driven by Staley's hired driver Richard Penrod. Staley found his loaded flatbed trailer in Granite City, IL, where Penrod apparently dropped it after receiving two cash advances from Staley.

Penrod's family told Staley he abandoned the truck in St. Louis and took a bus to California. However, Staley thinks Penrod might still be driving the truck or may have abandoned it enroute to California or Florida.

Staley described Richard "Stretch" Penrod as a tall, skinny white man about 6 feet, 6 inches tall and 190 pounds with brown hair.

The truck's North Carolina license plate number is LK8462 and ICC number is 369060. The vehicle identification number is 1FUYDRYB2LP381520. If you see the truck, call Bryan Staley at (724) 263-9478 or call local police.
