A North Little Rock man pleaded guilty earlier this month to shooting at tractor-trailers on Interstate 40 in North Little Rock, according to published reports. Ryan McNally is to be sentenced Sept. 28 on six counts of the class B felony of committing a terroristic act and could receive up to 20 years of prison on each count.
McNally and friends Marshal James Keune and Chris Roberson, also of North Little Rock, were reportedly trying to impress women by firing the shots in the early morning hours of Sept. 5, 2000, near the Crystal Hill Road exit.
Truckdriver Bruce Jennings, of Bakersfield, CA, suffered superficial wounds when a bullet pierced the side of the truck in which he was riding and struck him in the lower abdomen. He was released from an area hospital the following day.
Keune lived only 25 to 30 yards from where police believe those shots were fired. He pleaded guilty in July to seven counts. Keune struck a deal with prosecutors and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Roberson's trial is set for Sept. 12.
